ABOUT THE

FOUNDERS

When Joyce Binneboese first envisioned SKÒG, she had a clear idea: a brand rooted in nature, slow luxury, and mindful choices. The key question for her: Who do I want to build this with?

Raphael Fuss was the answer to that question. Having partnered in the jewelry industry before, they knew how well they complemented each other. Raphael’s expertise in design and materials, paired with Joyce’s passion for conscious living and entrepreneurial expertise, laid the foundation for SKÒG.

MATERIAL & RESPONSIBILITY

Our materials carry a deep respect for nature. We primarily use cultured shells, with a small portion sourced from controlled wild harvests, supporting native communities and ecological balance.

No protected species are harmed in our process. Shell culturing helps preserve marine life, creating artificial reefs that provide habitats for fish and support biodiversity.

Each SKÒG piece reflects our commitment to responsible craftsmanship. Our supply chain is long-term and transparent, ensuring ethical sourcing and traceability.

TRADITIONAL PRODUCTION

We are committed to quality that lasts. Our pieces are carefully crafted in a German small-town family business, established in 1952. With decades of expertise, it upholds a tradition of craftsmanship and dedication to quality.

We collaborate with a fair trade collective, where artisans from diverse backgrounds work together in an environment that values humanity.

To complete our holistic approach, SKÒG partners with a green bank, ensuring our financial choices align with our commitment to sustainability and ethical practices.
